The Luis Park was founded between 1892 and 1903 in its first phases by the Siesmayer Brothers from Frankfurt and named after Luise from Baden, the daughter of the great Emperor William in 1896. Through extension on to the former racing lawn in 1945 that was part of the then existing golf course, its total area now covers 45 hectares. Numerous other refinements have greatly contributed to its prestige and it’s now one of the highly regarded parks in Europe (including in professional circles).
